Unfortunately, no server drama makes for a sad news post, so lets talk about double exp weekends...
The first double exp weekend was this past weekend. It was originally intended only for players level 1-35, but the restriction was quickly lifted to cover players of any level. I heard that during the double exp weekend, gathering and crafting skills also gained levels at 2x the rate but I didn't confirm this for myself (although the exp gained from gathering and crafting I did confirm was doubled). On Saturday I leveled from 44-46 soloing Alquima Elites and was getting over 1m exp per kill (with rested). Pretty sick stuff...
So as it turns out, the next double exp weekend starts Christmas night (Friday the 25th for anyone keeping track). Can we say "stupid idea is stupid"? I mean seriously, double exp on a weekend when we should all (for the most part anyways) be spending time with our family and loved ones? How about some 50% Lodas' or something that we can use on our own time? So here's the question, will you be spending less time with your family and friends over Christmas weekend due to double exp?
